About the service

Our 24-hour housing support service in Motherwell supports two individuals who are primarily deafblind and have complex support needs to live independently in their own homes. As a Female Relief Support Worker, you'll provide person-centred support, helping them maintain routines, enjoy their favourite activities, and stay connected to their communities.

A full UK driving licence is essential as a shared service vehicle is used for appointments and community activities.

Shift Pattern

Our service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Relief colleagues provide flexible cover across a range of shifts, which can include:

  • Early: 7:45am - 3:00pm
  • Late: 2:45pm - 10:00pm
  • Long Day: 7:45am - 9:00pm

Key Responsibilities

Working on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis, you will:

  • Provide personal care and daily living support
  • Support medication, meal preparation and household tasks
  • Encourage independence, choice and community participation
  • Build positive relationships with the individuals we support
  • Liaise with families and professionals
  • Complete accurate records and support documentation
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality support
