Job Purpose

Our Personal Assistants support people to lead full, active and socially connected lives, supporting people to achieve the things that matter to them.

Applicants should have, or be willing to work towards, a qualification meeting the standards required for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

About this opportunity

Are you someone who appreciates great conversation, a wander through an art gallery, or good food in a welcoming restaurant? We are looking for a thoughtful, friendly, and reliable Personal Assistant to support an intelligent, kind gentleman to live his life fully and stay active in the community.

As a talented artist with a genuine passion for the arts, he loves spending time visiting local exhibitions, keeping active with regular gym visits, and catching up over lunch or a nice coffee. This role is about far more than day-to-day support—it’s about enabling him to continue doing the things he loves alongside someone who brings warmth, energy, and engaging company.

What the role involves:

  • Accompanying him on outings, including trips to art galleries, dining out, and visits to the gym

  • Sharing good conversation and providing thoughtful social companionship

  • Assisting with daily living tasks to help maintain his independence

  • Providing safe, respectful moving and assisting support (full training can be provided, though prior experience is a bonus)

About you:

  • Friendly, warm, and a great listener who enjoys stimulating chats about life, culture, and current interests

  • Patient, discreet, and deeply respectful of individual choice and dignity

  • Physically confident in supporting with moving and assisting

  • Reliable, adaptable, and proactive with a positive outlook

Whether you have a background in social care or are simply a caring, capable person looking for a meaningful part-time role that fits around other commitments, we’d love to hear from you
