About Us

Wardside House is an independent, family-run residential care home in Muthill, near Crieff, Perthshire — recently named Scotland's No.1 care home by The Sunday Times and rated Excellent across the board by the Care Inspectorate for wellbeing, leadership, care and support, and how well care is planned. We're proud to run a higher staff-to-resident ratio than most care homes, with more staff on shift than residents in our care, and we never use agency staff — every member of our team is a permanent part of the Wardside family, many with us for over a decade.

The Role

We're looking for warm, reliable people to join our care team as Carers, supporting our residents with their daily lives in a calm, homely setting surrounded by Perthshire countryside. Day and night shifts are available, on both a full-time and part-time basis, so we can usually find a pattern that fits your life.

No previous care experience is necessary — what matters most to us is compassion, resilience and a genuine interest in people. Full induction training is provided, and we support every carer towards an SVQ qualification in Health & Social Care, with real opportunities to progress into senior and specialist roles as your confidence grows.

What We're Looking For

Compassion, patience and emotional resilience

A flexible approach to shift patterns, to help us provide round-the-clock care

Reliability and a genuine interest in the people you're caring for

Willingness to learn and work towards a recognised care qualification

No formal qualifications required — full training given
