Lead Practitioner of Attainment (LPA)

We are looking for a highly qualified individual to join our team at Little Me Nursery as an LPA to assist on reducing the attainment gap.

As part of the early learning and childcare management team within the establishment, the main duties and responsibilities of the post will involve working as part of the team to deliver, and support the delivery of, quality early learning and development.

In addition, you will work with others to enhance understanding of children's well-being and nurture and promote practice throughout the establishment which is both broad and balanced and based on the principles of Curriculum for Excellence.

The post-holder will have relevant experience of practice within an early learning and childcare setting coupled with experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of plans and programmes for service users and family learning.

You will have a HNC in Childhood Practice at Level 7 (formerly Early Education and Childcare) or SVQ Level 3 Social Services Children and Young People at SCQF Level 7, or an equivalent qualification that meets SSSC requirements for registration at practitioner level, and hold a BA in Childhood Practice, or be in your final year of study, or Graduate PDA Childhood Practice at Level 9, or Bachelor of Education.

Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment along with SSSC Registration. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks
