£ 23,790 - £27,495 (inclusive of 10% Night shift allowance, additional opportunities for overtime available)

Nether Johnstone House is an independent service located in Johnstone, Renfrewshire. We provide residential care for ‘Looked after Children’ who for a variety of reasons are unable to be cared for at home. We cater for short term and long-term placements and where required offer a respite service. We provide a safe, respectful and nurturing environment for all children & young people, promoting the development of personal growth and achievement.

We are currently looking to recruit permanent Residential Child Care Workers with enthusiasm, passion and who can demonstrate a commitment to our children and young people.

Residential Child Care workers will contribute to all aspects of the physical and emotional care of the children/young people in order to promote their welfare whilst working in partnership with their family and other professionals on a day to day and long terms basis.

The post will involve shift and weekend working. Night shift posts are Waken Night shift and involves weekend working. Full time posts are 37.5 hours per week.

Applicants are required to hold a HNC qualification, SVQ III Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) is desirable but not essential. This is in line with the requirement set by the Scottish Social Services Council. Applicants will be supported to gain additional qualifications required and encouraged to maintain their own continuous professional development as required by SSSC.
