Job Description
We are seeking 2 reliable and caring individuals to join our team at Ythan Bridge School as Pupil Escorts supporting pupils during their arrival and departure from school transport
Key Responsibilities include meeting the pupils as they arrive on school transport each morning ensuring a smooth and safe transition from the vehicle to the playground. Support pupils at the end of the school day helping them board the correct transport and ensuring their safe departure. Provide a calm and reassuring presence promoting pupils’ wellbeing and safety through these key transition times. Liaise with school staff and transport providers as needed to ensure effective co ordination.
This role plays a vital part in helping pupils feel safe and supported at the start and end of their school day. If you’re someone who enjoys working with children and making positive impact, then we’d welcome your application. You will accompany a child who has additional support needs, on and off school transport, provide adequate supervision and ensure that a high degree of health and safety is maintained at all times.
Work Pattern: Monday – Friday 30 mins per day, either at the start or end of the school day.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
