Job Description

Act as a member of Early Learning and Childcare team, with full involvement in the work of the Early Level curriculum, helping to contribute to the care and education of children.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

This post will require you to have obtained SSSC registration within 3 months of employment. Due to the changes to SSSC and the closure to the SSSC portal, the 3 months will start counting from the 3rd of June 2024.

The successful candidate will be based in the P1/2 area of the school and work within the Early Stages team of teachers, the role will have a focus in supporting early stages pupils with additional support needs. 

This post has a minimum requirement of two references, one of which must be your current or most recent employer.

Fixed term for a period not exceeding 28/03/2025
