Joint Equipment Service Technical Assistant

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Assistant within the Joint Equipment Service, supporting health and social care services across Aberdeenshire.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that essential community equipment is available, maintained, and supplied to support people to live safely and independently at home. Duties will include processing equipment requests, maintaining accurate records, liaising with health and social care professionals, supporting stock management, and assisting with all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the service.

We are looking for an organised and motivated individual with good communication and ideally technical or mechanical skills. Experience of working in a health, social care, customer service, or logistics environment would be advantageous, although full training will be provided. A full driving licence will be an essential requirement for this role.

Requirements

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
