Job Description

Are you keen to work with new businesses and help people turn their ideas into reality? We have the perfect role for you! As a Start-Up Business Adviser, you’ll play a key role in guiding aspiring entrepreneurs and new businesses through the critical early stages of their journey. Your expertise and passion will be key in helping these businesses start and sustain trading.

In this role, you'll work with pre-start owners and start-ups, offering advice and practical support to help them navigate the challenges of launching their business. Business Gateway has a variety of support available to help new businesses and you will help clients in all aspects. Training delivery is also part of the role. If you’re ready to make an impact on the future of new businesses and enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, this role is for you!

Business Gateway Aberdeen City & Shire is delivered by Aberdeenshire Council on behalf of both Aberdeenshire Council & Aberdeen City Council.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

The base location for this role is Woodhill House, with travel throughout Aberdeen City & Aberdeenshire. The role is full-time fixed term, and the work style is hybrid. It is a material condition of employment for this post that the employee holds a current full driving licence and has a car available

This role may require flexible, evening and weekend working on occasion.
