Job Description

The North Community Mental Health Team is a busy environment, managing a team over a wide geographical area who are managing complex and high risk individuals. It is essential that the successful applicant is a qualified Mental Health Officer and has the experience, skills and qualities in supporting staff will be important. The successful candidate with require to have skills in building positive working relationships with other Partnership colleagues and other varying stakeholders.

This is a large team with a significant number of colleagues reporting to the Team Manager. Management of risk and knowledge of admission and discharge and complex mental health care is essential. ASP, AWI and MHA form the legislative base for Team working and some statistical interpretation is required. The successful candidate will be required to offer support around service development and be involved in directing new strategy development.

The post holders base will be Seafield House in Banff, but currently will work from home and occasionally in offices (mainly at home presently)

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.  Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

This post has a minimum requirement of two references, one of these must be your current or most recent employer. 

This post is fixed term to cover Maternity until 30/09/2025
