Job Description

This job is restricted to Angus Council employees working within the Infrastructure & Environment - Waste Service.

Based at Burgh Yard, Cairnie Loan, Arbroath.

This job is workstyle 1 - Fixed.

In this workstyle most of your time is spent undertaking the direct delivery of front-line services work. Depending on your role there may be a limited requirement to access a specific council location during the course of the working week if you are not delivering your service at a council location.

You will work 36 hours per week, 4 days out of 7, Monday to Thursday, between the hours of 7.00am and 7.00pm.

The current rota is Monday to Thursday between the hours of 7.00am to 4.30pm.

If your application is shortlisted, you will be invited to attend a recruitment session lasting approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes which will include the following:-

Short written tests (10 minutes):-

  • Driver first use checks
  • Basic numeracy skills
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety in the workplace
  • Knowledge of basic road safety
  • Written communication skills

Short interview (30 minutes)
