Job Description
Based at Bruce House, Wellgate, Arbroath.

You will have the opportunity to benefit from our flexible and agile working practices. This means you will work from a variety of locations including working from council buildings and you can work from home to best suit your work, meetings and collaboration.
There are 2 positions available:
Working 18.12 hours per week, Tuesday morning and all day Thursday and Friday. This position is permanent.
or
Working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This job is temporary for up to 12 months from date of appointment to cover maternity leave.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Angus Heath and Social Care Partnerships Adults with Physical Disabilities Service.
You will be part of a team of social workers and care co-ordinators. Your duties will include providing a comprehensive person-centred assessment to people with physical disabilities, to develop packages of care to help meet their identified outcomes and promote their independence, in order to enable them to achieve their full potential.
You will also conduct carers assessments and will complete and maintain appropriate records. You will manage a caseload, carrying continuous responsibility for the assessment and evaluation of the provision of care and will participate in the continuing development of the service.
The ability to promote and encourage a collaborative working approach is essential.
At times our Social Workers will be required to support people within a legal
framework; this includes working with the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000, Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003 and the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007. This statutory work allows Social Workers to work in more depth with supported people, build meaningful relationship and support them to make safer choices with positive results.
