The Social Work Admin Service delivers administrative support to the Justice Social Work team within the Argyll and Bute HSCP. We have a full time, permanent Admin Officer vacancy within our Justice admin team can be based in any Justice office in Argyll and Bute. We are looking for a creative and dynamic individual to work alongside the Justice Team. This role is ideally suited to someone with good organisational, IT and admin skills.

This position is a fixed role and will be based at one of the Justice offices in Argyll and Bute.

This position will manage the provision of high quality admin support to the Justice Social Work team who deliver agreed outcomes for people who are within the criminal justice system whether they be in the community or in custody.

The main responsibilities of this role include management of:

  • The Justice Admin Team including delivering all HR policies
  • Processing, recording and delivery of court and prison requests
  • Minute taking and meeting support
  • The office buildings and associated fleet
  • The team Email mailbox
  • Financial and budget processes and information
  • Statistical information
  • Admin resource allocation and workloads
  • Staff induction, training and development

Candidates for this role require to have:

  • A good basic education
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft office applications
  • Experience of office administration
  • Experience of staff management
  • An ability to form positive working relationships
  • Understanding of confidentiality and data security
  • A driving licence
  • An internal system check undertaken in order to access Social Work databases. Police vetting at level 1 to access the court system will be applied for
