We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Social Care Worker to join our dedicated team in Ardfenaig on a permanent basis.
Working within our residential service for older adults, you will provide a key role, develop person-centred care plans and support residents with a range of needs, helping to promote their independence, dignity, wellbeing, and quality of life.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of older people while working as part of a supportive and committed team.
Argyll and Bute is one of Scotland’s most stunning areas. As its award-winning council, we play a vital part in the day-to-day life and long-term future of our beautiful and diverse communities. Our unwavering purpose is to make Argyll and Bute the place to be, the place where people want to live, to work and do business. And we are committed to making the council the place to have a great career, by providing excellent benefits and a friendly, dynamic working culture so that each of our 5000 colleagues can deliver services that help our corner of Scotland thrive. Join us to make a difference.
As a Social Care Worker within our 16-bed home for older adults, you will work alongside our dedicated team to provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents with a range of needs, including physical frailty and, at times, symptoms of dementia.
You will support residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition, wellbeing, social activities, and daily living tasks, promoting dignity, choice, independence, and quality of life.
As a Key Worker, you will be allocated a number of residents and will take a lead role in building positive relationships with them and their families. Working in partnership with residents, relatives, colleagues, and other professionals, you will contribute to the development, implementation, and review of individual person-centred care and support plans.
Supported by your colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will help monitor residents' wellbeing, identify changing needs, maintain accurate records, and ensure residents' views, wishes, and outcomes remain at the heart of the support provided.
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, reliable, and compassionate individual with strong communication and teamwork skills. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of older people in Argyll and Bute, helping residents remain safe, supported, and as independent as possible within a welcoming, supportive, and homely environment.
Applicants must be willing to achieve and maintain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). Opportunities for training, professional development, and career progression are available within the service.
If you are someone who genuinely enjoys helping others, building positive relationships, and making a difference in people's lives, we would love to hear from you.
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable individual who shares our values of dignity, respect, compassion, and teamwork.
Previous care experience is desirable, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
We offer a supportive working environment with opportunities for training, professional development, and career progression.
