Salary: £28,046 - £32,010
Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks
Leith Academy is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly organised person to join our busy school office team. The successful candidate will have experience of working in a busy office environment and be willing to work flexibly in order to meet the needs of the service. They should work well under pressure and have very strong time-management skills.
Key areas of responsibilities of this role are the Administration of the SQA process in school, management of School Fund, updating the school Timetable and supervision of a team of clerical assistants to provide a first class support service to the whole school community.
The successful candidate will require high levels of organisation, accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to work to exacting deadlines and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
They will also be competent users of ICT and have knowledge and experience of using databases, spreadsheets and word documents.

Working hours will be:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 8.00am – 4.00pm
Friday 8.00am – 2.30pm

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
