Business Manager
Various Primary Schools

Salary: £36,312 - £42,717 (pro rata for part time and sessional)
Hours: 18 per week, 40 weeks sessional

Supporting one of various primary schools across the city onsite, including Gylemuir Primary, Hermitage Park Primary, St. Cuthbert's Primary and Craigroyston Primary.

Hours in each school: 18 per week, 40 weeks sessional

Candidates will be considered for all Primary Business Manager posts currently available. If you wish to combine two posts into a full time position, or are only interested in working in specific areas of the city, please indicate this on your application form.

We are seeking a dynamic, creative problem solvers to support each school onsite and work closely with the Head Teacher.

The main role of a Business Manager is to support the Headteacher in all non-curricular aspects of school management, ensuring these aspects operate effectively, including Finance, HR, Information Governance, Resources, Facilities, Information Technology and Health and Safety and the successful candidate should have experience in these areas. An ability to identify and resolve a wide range of challenges to ensure operational efficiency across the school, will be key to this role.

With a large staff team in each school, the successful candidates will require strong leadership skills to support, guide and develop the individuals to work effectively together.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.  Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
