The position is a varied and challenging statutory role suitable for a motivated and enthusiastic individual, which will involve dealing with the unique challenges that exist within Edinburgh as Scotland’s Capital City.

The post holder will be expected to work across the City as required, working within the busy day and night time economies to deliver service priorities and ensure with applicable legislation. An additional working time payment will apply

The successful candidate will have experience of enforcement and dealing with complex legislation.

The post holder will be expected to offer guidance and take appropriate enforcement action as required. Excellent communication skills are essential, with the successful candidate demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people including members of the public, council officers, elected members, partner agencies including Police Scotland and business operating within Edinburgh and elsewhere. A full valid driving licence is required.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
