Driving License: Essential

Self-motivated and committed individual required to join a busy team where you will supervise and manage a team of Facilities Technicians who are responsible for janitorial operations, over multiple sites, on a day to day basis. You will help ensure the overall provision of an efficient FM service in accordance with departmental service level agreements, City of Edinburgh Council policy and procedures and any prevailing general standards. The post holder will liaise closely with direct stakeholders and their FM line management in resourcing and planning projects and site specific undertakings.  The post holder must have good communications skills along with a flexible approach to working and a can-do attitude. The post requires the use of IT, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

This post is based on a two week shift rotation, working 07:00 - 15:00 (week one) and 13:00 - 21:00 (week two).

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
