ICT Officer (Development) - Web Team

Hour: 36 per week
Customer and Digital Services' Web Team has a vacancy for a motivated individual to join the Team. As a Web Officer you will undertake or assist with the provision of support, content management and project change activities in relation to the Council's website and intranet . You will work in an exciting and dynamic environment which is at the heart of business change throughout the Council.
You will work closely with the Web Team Lead and other members of the Web Team to assist in the management of the Council’s internet and intranet websites in line with the Council’s Digital Strategy.
You will work in close co-operation with other Council service areas to manage requests to the web team and help create and publish digital content.
You will contribute to the ongoing development of the Council’s website and Intranet including the development of interactive and personal features aligning with the needs and expectations of residents, customers, and service users.
You will contribute to the delivery of agreed projects, pertaining to Digital Services, working with appropriate departments, suppliers and contractors.
The successful candidate will also contribute to the development of training programmes and deliver training on CMS, and raise awareness of Web and Intranet developments, relevant legislation and working practices.
You will have strong communication and organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines. You should have the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment whilst being creative and innovative in providing solutions to digital challenges.
You should be flexible, proactive and customer driven, embracing change and keeping up to date with emerging web technologies.
The ideal candidate will have experience of CMSs, knowledge of accessibility requirements, government legislations, guidelines and best practice for the websites.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
