Hours: 35 per week
Pirniehall Primary is a non-denominational school situated in the North West of Edinburgh and is part of the Craigroyston Learning Community. The school currently has a roll of 327 pupils, with 13 classes covering the stages P1-P7and there are a further 32 nursery children attending full-time.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced primary practitioner who will bring a positive, enthusiastic and innovative approach to the school. Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills are required along with an unconditional positive regard towards improving outcomes for all children and families.
The successful candidate would lead, plan and assess learning and teaching experiences for Primary 7 for the remainder of the session, engaging with CLPL school collegiate sessions to ensure high quality and consistent approaches to teaching and learning, working alongside the school teaching team and P7 stage partner. The post holder would be required to attend P7 residential camp in March 2025, supporting wider achievement opportunities for all learners and show a strong commitment to leading wider achievement opportunities, through the working time agreement.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
