Secondary Teacher - EAL - Fixed term until 29/06/2025
Additional Support for Learning Service - Citywide
Salary: £32,217 - £48,516 per year
Hours: 35 per week
Applicants applying on a secondment basis should seek approval from their current manager before applying.
Applications are invited from secondary registered teachers with appropriate specialist knowledge and experience of working with bilingual and minority ethnic learners using inclusive approaches. The ability to work collaboratively with a range of practitioners to create high quality inclusive learning environments is essential. Experience of working with learners who have other support needs, including Gypsy Roma Traveller pupils is desirable.
The Additional Support for Learning service is a peripatetic service and applicants must be willing to work anywhere in the city and in any school, including specialist provisions.
Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
