Salary: £36,3127 - £42,717
Hours: 18 per week
This new and exciting service is looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic part time social worker. The person must be able to work with people in times of crisis who are looking for support through recovery. This will be short term work with people to encourage them into services who can support them long term. The social worker will be working as part of a multiagency team to complete statutory assessment including adult support and protection as necessary.
The successful candidate will need to have knowledge of recovery models and services as well as experience of working under challenging circumstances with a complex group of individuals.
The post will be based at Spittal Street Clinic but the candidate will be expected to work to CEC Lone working policy with some appointments/visits being community or the service users home based.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
