The Network Management & Enforcement service provides comprehensive, technical & Legislative guidance, coordination and enforcement across the function of the city.

The Transport Administrator will support the Transport Manager with day-to-day supervision of roles and ensuring services are delivered to both third party and internal service users. Provide a reliable service through a variety of formats including face to face, email, and MS Teams. Supervise work tasks and work schedules for Transport staff. Work proactively in facilitating the full range of service area. Develop relationships (internal and external) and maintain a high standard of service delivery. Deliver technical advice and support to colleagues and service users within the operating principles for Transport and legislation.

Work within a team of Transport staff dealing with issues and service requests through provision of information, administration at times progressing requests to wider council services. Handle sensitive and personal information in line with appropriate policies and confidentiality guidelines. Use appropriate systems to process service requests or updates for wider council services. In conjunction with Transport staff promote an integrated and consistent Council-wide approach to Transport services supported by the appropriate governance arrangements, processes and legislation. Work with Transport Support staff and key stakeholders to support new initiatives and the strategic direction of the Council and ensuring that all Transport services are planned in a consistent manner in accordance with the Council’s strategic objectives. Identify and evaluate the risks associated with legislation and take appropriate action to control / mitigate the risks where supporting to improve the success and coordination within the network. The Transport Senior Administrator will support the Transport Officer with the day-to-day supervision of up to 15 support roles and deputise in the absence of the Transport Officer. The post will make a range of decisions relating to the provision of Transport services. The post will resolve issues relating to service provision.

The post will ensure relevant legislation, regulations, policies, procedures and other relevant conditions are applied and upheld appropriately. The post will ensure; all relevant details are accurately collated and recorded, locate information required, and provide clear and comprehensive reports and responses which meet the needs of colleagues and the service. The post determines the most appropriate method of dealing with both colleagues and customers and ensures the service area dealt with appropriately. The post ensures that work is kept up to date and prioritised. The post will have shared responsibility for several systems and systems used for legislative data requirements and knowledge. The post ensures that all data, records, and systems are kept up to date, ensuring that all relevant details are accurately collated and recorded.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
