37 hours per week, temporary post
£30,758 - £31,935 per annum (inclusive of £2,997 Distant Islands Allowance per annum)
Required on a temporary basis to cover a staff secondment, the post holder will assist senior staff in delivering a library and information service with particular responsibility for customer services at Stornoway Library.
Applicants must have a good understanding of library and information services, experience of working with a range of IT programmes & software and proven experience of working within a library and information environment. You must also have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, along with the ability to work accurately, prioritise a varied workload and use initiative when resolving or escalating issues.
The role requires a flexible approach to work, including irregular hours, evenings and Saturdays as required.
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme as a legal requirement of a regulated role with Children and Protected Adults (Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme - mygov.scot).

Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of the grade.
