Technical Support Analyst, IT Unit, Stornoway – Two Posts
37 hours per week, Permanent posts
£35,673 to £39,493 per annum (inclusive of £2,742 Distant Islands Allowance per annum)
Two Technical Support Analysts are sought to provide network support, firewall and security support, server and desktop support, voice and mobile support and to provide advice to users and potential users of ICT systems within the Comhairle. You will also undertake new projects as directed by the IT Team Leader.
It is essential that you have extensive knowledge of computer network system protocols, network management practices and procedures, hardware installation and support. Knowledge of the installation of and troubleshooting procedures for Microsoft OS’s and applications at both desktop and server level is required.
You will have proven practical experience in a formal technical support environment with practical experience of installation, setup and administration of Active Directory, Exchange and IIS. You must also hold practical experience of Firewall security, network security and TCP/IP.
Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of grade with annual incremental progression.
