Teacher Additional Support for Learning (7/14314) (Temporary)

Unpromoted Teacher Scale £36,159 - £54,453

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher Additional Support for Learning at Noblehill Primary School, for 21 hours (0.6FTE) per week Temporary till 18 August 2027. The successful candidate will support pupils and staff in identifying and assessing barriers to learning, and managing challenging behaviours through individualised teaching support, targeted interventions, observations, advice and guidance, mentoring and training.

This position may be suitable for a Secondment.   Agreement from your line manager must be sought before applying for this post on a secondment basis.

This post forms part of Dumfries Learning Town schools and/or The Bridge to deliver courses as part of the BGE and /or senior phase curriculum as appropriate to meet the needs of our learners. 

Applicants for teaching posts must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS), Clerwood House, 96 Clermiston Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6UT in the appropriate sector. 

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.  From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.   

Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
