Asset Management Planning Technician (8/885)

Asset Management team that’s sits within the Councils Corporate Landlord function, alongside the Estates team and carries out the role of Asset management for Dumfries and Galloway Council.

Teams within the Corporate Landlord Model include Energy Management, Repairs & Maintenance, Building Safety, DBFM & PPP schools, and Estates & Asset Management.

Property Estates and Programmes, through the Corporate landlord Model, is responsible for the management and maintenance of the Councils 1135 property assets.  

 

Estates & Asset Management team are looking to recruit an organised and motivated person, to join the team. The post holder will assist the Asset Management Officer with day-to-day Asset Management activities and support the achieving of strategic asset management KPIs and other targets. The job role includes use of various software applications in the maintenance, updating and management of accurate property asset information such as - property condition surveys; functional suitability surveys; occupancy and utilisation data; update of drawn information (e.g. floor plans / site plans etc.) using AutoCAD; MS Excel; and the Councils property management information system. The job role may also require carrying out site and building surveys to update floor plans and other related asset information.

 

This is a varied role, and the successful candidate must be adaptable and, depending on experience, willing to learn new skills.

 

Salary placing is dependent on experience and qualifications.

 

A current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post. However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a driving licence consideration will be given if alternative transport can be arranged.
