£12.29 Per Hour

We have a unique opportunity to join the team at Annan Swimming Pool as a member of our casual Leisure Attendant team where no pre-qualification is required subject to enrolling on our RLSS lifeguard course in August. As part of this fantastic opportunity the successful candidate will be provided with full RLSS lifeguard qualification training free of charge. Should the desired candidate achieve the qualification and be successful at interview they will transfer into a casual position in our team.

We are seeking a motivated, reliable and enthusiastic individuals to work as part of a team carrying out general leisure attendant duties always ensuring customer safety, lifeguarding, communicating effectively with members of the public and other staff, undertaking cleaning duties and setting up and dismantling of sports equipment in a safe environment.

The successful candidate will be based at Annan Swimming Pool where they will assist in actively promoting the facility and wider Leisure and Sport activities.

Prior to interview the post holder must be able to demonstrate the ability to achieve the following:

1. Swim 50 metres in no more than 60 seconds
2. Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back
3. Tread water for 30 second in deep water
4. Surface dive to the pool floor as well as jump/dive into deep water
5. Climb out of the pool unaided

Candidate achieving the above pre course requirements must also be able to attend the pool lifeguard course operating each day from 12^th – 17th August. 

You will be required to attend regular staff training sessions as part of the requirement of this post. This post will include shift work including evenings and weekends.
