We are seeking to appoint a Part Time Fixed Term Senior Clerical Assistant in St. Ninian’s Primary School until 30.06.2023.  The hours for St Ninian’s Primary School are 20 hours per week, 38 weeks per year Monday to Friday term time.

 

This post may be suitable for secondment.  Agreement from your line manager must be sought before applying for this post.

 

The office staff at St. Ninian’s Primary School are valued members of the school team.  St. Ninian’s Primary School is a Roman Catholic School situated in the town of Newton Stewart with a school role of 10 pupils.  Penninghame Primary School and St. Ninian’s Primary School have a Shared Management Structure and the preferred candidate may at times be called to work at either school. 

 

Experience in dealing with the public and the ability to work with the minimum of supervision are essential.  You must have a pleasant manner, an aptitude for PC work and a good understanding of office procedures.  Knowledge of Financial Record Keeping and procedures is desirable.

 

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.  From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council. 

 

Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
