Leisure & Culture Dundee is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) SC042421. It was established by Dundee City Council in July 2011 to deliver leisure, sports, library, information and cultural services for the city. www.leisureandculturedundee.com Working in a primary school and local community, you will work 22.2 hours per week.

Requirements

SVQ Level 3 in a Sport or physical activity related field and/or work-related experience

Responsibilities

As part of a dynamic Leisure and Sport Section, you will contribute to the section’s social objectives by developing programmes and activities with schools within the Active Schools services. You will develop and introduce a range of programmes, events and festivals and identify opportunities to improve the services and increase lifelong participation for Dundee children.

The Individual

You will have practical experience in sports coaching and experience of organising participation programmes. You will also have experience of assisting in the organisation of events/festivals, of supporting coaches or volunteers. Practical experience of marketing and promoting activities / programmes are also required as is the ability to use a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Word. You will have good presentation skills, good communication skills, both verbal and written and have good people skills nad the ability to organise workload and time effectively.
