Job Description
Leisure & Culture Dundee is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) SC042421. It was established by Dundee City Council in July 2011 to deliver leisure, sports, library, information and cultural services for the city.
www.leisureandculturedundee.com Working 37 hours per week, you will work across various venues such as McManus, Caird Hall, Broughty Ferry Castle and Mills
Observatory, leading on visitor management within these venues. You will ensure a first-class standard of customer service is foremost for all visitors and a safe and secure environment for members of the public and venue staff.
This is a fixed term post for a period of 3 years.
For existing Leisure and Culture Dundee and Dundee City Council employees’ secondments will be considered. Line Manager approval should be sought prior to applying for a secondment.Requirements
You will hold an HNC/SVQ 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject area or have relevant equivalent experience.Responsibilities
To lead on visitor management in four venues, The McManus: Dundee’s Art Gallery and Museum, Caird Hall, Broughty Castle Museum and Mills Observatory, ensuring a first-class standard of customer service for all visitors and a safe and secure environment for members of the public and venue staff.The Individual
You will have significant experience leading front of house or visitor services delivering a first class customer service operation in hospitality, entertainment or events environment.
You will also have extensive people management experience and have the ability to set staff standards and monitor delivery through effective performance management.
Proven ability to manage change and continual improvement strategies with a strong customer orientation and experience of sensitive handing of customer complaints. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills for delivery of high service standards, and the ability to build strong relationships with different departments within an organisation and across venues.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends will be required.
