Leisure & Culture Dundee is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) SC042421. It was established by Dundee City Council in July 2011 to deliver leisure, sports, library, information and cultural services for the city. www.leisureandculturedundee.com You will work between the McManus: Dundee’s Art Gallery and Museum, The Mills Observatory or Broughty Castle museum, hours of work include daytime, evening and weekend work. When work is available you will be contacted. There is no obligation for Leisure & Culture Dundee to offer you work, nor are you obliged to accept work. The rate of pay is £14.39 per hour. Requirements

2 National Grade 4 passes or equivalent or proven working experience within Museum & Gallery environment

Responsibilities

To assist in the provision of an efficient, responsive and courteous service to users of Cultural Services facilities, including security, cleaning, routine minor maintenance, reception, retail, exhibition installation, education activities and gallery interpretation.

The Individual

You will have experience of working with the public, manual handling, building security and customer care. You will also have the ability to work unsupervised be a good team player, with good communication skills, have some basic IT skills and have an interest & Knowledge of Art, Local History or Natural Science. Availability to work evenings and weekends.
