Job Description

To act as Depute Chief Financial Officer in terms of Section 95 of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, responsible to the Council for proper administration of its financial affairs. To deputise for the Accountable Officer for the Ayrshire Growth where necessary. The promotion and delivery of excellent financial management so that public money is safeguarded at all times and used appropriately, economically, efficiently and effectively. In order to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the key objectives in relation to those identified within the Corporate Service Support Plan and the Community Plan.

 

Requirements

The Individual

This is a permanent full time post based within Council Headquarters, London Road, Kilmarnock

Normal Office hours are 9am - 5pm Monday - Thursday & 9am - 4pm Friday

Annual salary £80,116 - £84,939

If your application is successful at the longleet stage, you will be required to attend an Assessment Centre on Tuesday 16th July 2024. Please note that we are unable to change this date. Candidates who are successful following the assessment process will be invited to attend a final interview.

The workstyle for this post is ‘Flexible’ - 50-79% of time is office based. Able to work at different/ multiple work locations. Occasionally works at home, or another location 1-2 days per week, or directly home to external appointments.
