Our headquarters are based in Kirkintilloch, however, we also have five other main sites and a number of satellite offices, leisure facilities and schools across the 77 square mile region.

We have a strong workforce of just over 4,500 employees who contribute to the delivery of our wide range of services from school enrolment to council house maintenance. We are the people who make things happen. We are responsible for providing first class customer care on a number of frontline services including education, social care, library services, maintaining the streets, parks and gardens and looking after the homes we rent to our tenants. We also need a team behind the scenes including accountants, solicitors, human resources and organisational development, information technology and administration support.

Not all the work we do is obvious, we are responsible for granting planning permission for new homes, deciding opening hours for bars and helping the East Dunbartonshire area to realise its potential. The work we do is varied and far-reaching as it impacts on those who live in, work in and visit East Dunbartonshire.
