Job Requirements

Depending on the nature of the post it may be necessary for you to become a member of the PVG scheme or underdgo a basic disclosure check before any employment can be undertaken with East Lothian Council. In the case of a new PVG Membership this cost (£59) will be met by you and must be paid in advance. For basic disclosure checks the cost will be met by East Lothian Council.

If you are already a member of the relevant PVG group BUT the membership was not undertaken by East Lothian Council, a scheme update will be required (the cost for an update will be met by East Lothian Council).

The job outline/person specification of the post you are applying for will indicate the level of check required for that specific post.

Please Note
