We require a flexible, self-motivated and enthusiastic person to join the Management Information Systems Team supporting the day–to-day operational management of relevant Education Management Information systems (such as SEEMiS, Groupcall and the Parents Portal). They will provide advice, support and training to school and local authority users in the implementation and use of these systems. The post holder will work in a small team to assist in the production, validation, robustness and data integrity of the Education Service’s statistical and statutory performance and management information. They will also provide support in data provision and analysis. This includes assisting with the collation, validation and submission of statutory information for Scottish Government and other governing body statistical surveys and returns.
The role requires excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel (preferably including Power Query), to support data collection and analysis, assisting officers across the Education Service to target support, identify gaps and deliver continuous improvement. Experience in the use and creation of data dashboards (for example Power Business Intelligence) is highly desirable.
The post holder should be customer focused, have excellent literacy, organisational and numeracy skills, and be able to work and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

Job Details
To assist in the management, development and implementation of Education’s management information systems and statistical information gathering in light of the National Improvement Framework, Pupil Equity Funding and 1140 hours. This will include undertaking research, data collection, analysis and report writing as well as supporting and facilitating consultation and engagement activities.

Relevant Qualifications
Educated to HNC/SVQ3 in Administration or Information Management or equivalent and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
