We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join Protective Services in one of the most beautiful and rapidly growing areas of Scotland with over 40 miles of magnificent coastline, rolling countryside, high quality food and drink, world-renowned links golf courses and excellent links to Edinburgh city centre.

You will be responsible for exercising powers and discharging duties to meet relevant local and national standards that contribute to tackling Anti-social Behaviour in East Lothian. These duties are primarily focussed on the investigation and resolution of residential-based anti-social behaviour and supporting other legal proceedings within the team. You should also possess a full current driving licence.

Job Details

To actively contribute to achieving the aim of Protective Services in promoting, protecting and enhancing the health, safety and wellbeing of people living, working and spending time in East Lothian and to support Council Services in managing the risks associated with delivering and maintaining services in our local communities.

To effectively investigate and manage case-work in relation to complaints of anti-social behaviour in all property tenures within a geographical area and use a range of interventions to influence positive behavioural change and to initiate legal proceedings where necessary.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
HNC or SVQ 3 in Housing or Community Safety or equivalent and/or be able to demonstrate knowledge through relevant work experience in this field.

Driving Licence
As the duties of this role require you to effectively travel to successfully undertake the full remit of the role, you must hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle.*
