The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week). Part-time hours will be pro-rated accordingly.

Hourly rate of pay: £26.91 - £30.30

Temporary until 31st March 2026.
Days and Hours of Work:
Tuesday - Thursday, 09:00-17:00
Days of work are negotiable, starting and finishing times are flexible, and flexi time is applicable.

We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, and strategic Team Leader to join Families Together East Lothian. The successful candidate will have a passion for transformational change within Whole Family Well-being, and relish working in an agile way with a focus on improvement methodologies and change management. They will have strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and past experience of working in partnership with services that promote and support families to live well in their community. They will role model our vision within and beyond the team, ensuring that families are at the heart of decision making through listening, acting and building communities that meet their current and developing needs. Capturing feedback and learning, and sharing with partner agencies, is a critical part of this post.

Home Working Consideration

Job Details

To provide management and leadership within Children’s Services (social work), in accordance with the Service Plan, Children and Families legislation, early intervention and prevention and joint working with partners in Adult Services, Education, Police, Health, Housing and other professionals as appropriate.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Approved qualification in Social Work, and SSSC Registration.

Certificate in Child Protection or Post Qualifying award in Practice Teaching or Mental Health.

SSSC registration is an essential requirement of this role. If you are appointed and are not already a member of the relevant section of the SSSC Register, you will be required to apply for registration as soon as possible and this must be achieved within six months of your start date.

Driving Licence
As the duties of this role require you to effectively travel to successfully undertake the full remit of the role, you must hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle.*

PVG Membership
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
