Job Details
To manage the day to day provision of the Home Care Service, Emergency Care Service and Meals Service throughout East Lothian.

Job Requirements
Relevant Qualifications
Hold an SVQ Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF Level 9 (or equivalent) and an SVQ Care Services Leadership and Management at SCQF Level 10 (or equivalent management qualification) which meet the professional registration requirements of SSSC.
OR
Hold an SVQ Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF Level 9 (or equivalent) with a commitment to achieve the SVQ Care Services Leadership and Management at SCQF Level 10 (or equivalent) in the first period of registration to meet the SSSC Registration requirements.
SSSC registration is an essential requirement of this role. If you are appointed and are not already a member of the “Managers of Care at Home Services” and “Managers in Housing Support Services” sections of the SSSC Register, you will be required to apply for registration as soon as possible and this must be achieved within six months of your start date.
Driving Licence
As the duties of this role require you to effectively travel to successfully undertake the full remit of the role, you must hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle.*

PVG Membership
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
