East Renfrewshire Council is seeking an enthusiastic Support Officer to join our building standards team. You will be involved in providing admin support to the building standards function including sending out acknowledgements, managing the general building standards mailbox, issuing building warrant approvals and completion certificate acceptances. You will assist customers in person, in writing and on the phone with general administrative enquiries.

The role requires technical and IT skills (preferably including experience with the IDOX/UNIform case handling system). The post holder will also need good organisational skills as the job requires a number of administrative tasks to be carried out in order to allow the Council to undertake its statutory building standards functions.

Depending upon the needs of the service, staff in Hybrid roles will typically work from home for up to 40-60% of the time where the needs of the service can still be met.
