The Financial Assessment Team are based within the Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership where we work closely with other professionals across social work adult services.
It is essential that candidates have knowledge and experience of financial assessment with a local authority or in a social care setting. It is desirable that this experience is gained from working with older adults. The candidate should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, an eagerness to learn and develop, an ability to prioritise workload and time management, be a team-player alongside having experience of financial assessment and case recording.
Being educated to HNC/SVQ Level 3 in Administration or Business Studies or an equivalent or relevant work experience is essential. Having experience of Microsoft Office packages especially MS Excel and a working knowledge of DWP and Social Security Scotland is also required.
The candidate should also possess the ability to interpret and understand statutory requirements and relevant legislation to the post.
You will be required to complete a welfare benefits calculation test at interview.
This post is a hybrid working arrangement which means there is a blend of home working and office-based working.
You will be required to carry out home visits to clients homes who would benefit from, or prefer, to have a face-to-face meeting so this post will require you to be mobile across the Falkirk Council area and neighbouring local authority boundaries so the candidate must hold a full UK driving licence.
You will work 37 hours across Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am to 5.30pm.
