Are you an enthusiastic, motivated, compassionate and flexible individual who understands and respects the rights of other people? If so, we want you to come and join our care at home and reablement teams in Falkirk.
Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership delivers high quality care and support to people of all ages and with varying levels of need. Your role will include supporting service users to maintain and develop their daily living skills and improve independence.
Our service operates 7 days per week between 7am and 11pm and has both full-time and part-time hours available across the Falkirk Council area. The working pattern is 7 days over a 2-week period with every second weekend off.
As an employee, you would receive a wide range of benefits including:
- induction and developmental training
- an hourly rate of £12.70 to £13.42
- paid holidays
- professional qualification (SVQ 2 Health & Social Care)
- local government pension scheme
- travel costs between visits are reimbursed within HMRC levels
- career progression opportunities
- staff benefits & discounts
- family friendly policies
A level of flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service; as a result, it would be advantageous to hold a current driving licence and to have access to a car. The service also has pool cars available. In addition, we have walking rotas operating across our service.
Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council within the first 6 months of working with Falkirk Council is a requirement of the post. You will also be required to achieve an SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care within an agreed timescale if you have not already achieved this award.
If you are the successful candidate for the role of Personal Carer, you will be working with children and/or vulnerable adults which is considered Regulated Work under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
Registration with the SSSC is essential for this post as is the ability to maintain PVG membership. The successful applicant will have their SSSC registration covered under the paid entry costs scheme funded by the Scottish Government.
All posts involve lone working.
