An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Early Years Officer (SEYO) to act as lead practitioner in providing high quality learning experiences for children aged 3-5 years at St Patrick’s Primary School, Early Learning and Childcare Class.
St Patrick's RC Primary School is a Catholic primary school, with a non-denominational nursery class, situated in Denny which is approximately 6 miles from Falkirk. The school provides education from nursery to primary 7.
We have an enhanced facility which allows us to support pupils with additional support needs.
The school provides a range of informal learning activities at the after-school clubs.
The school provides stages of education for Nursery to Primary 7. Present Roll 275 (in addition to the 64 in the ELCC).
The school leadership team is made up of a Headteacher, a Depute Headteacher, a Principal Teacher and, a newly appointed, 0.5 Principal Early Years Officer.

You will have a well-developed knowledge and understanding of current national guidance relating to early learning and childcare and will be able to evidence this in your practice. Experience in a senior role would be advantageous.
You will hold as a minimum an HNC in Childcare and Education (or equivalent) allowing you to register as a practitioner with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) without conditions. You should be able to demonstrate your commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
The position is full time (37 hours), term time and is permanent within Falkirk Council Children’s Services. Please note that the salary will be adjusted accordingly for term time.
