An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Social Care Officer within the Housing with Care Service.
As a Social Care Officer, you will be responsible for the assessing and planning of outcome-based assessments and reviews of service user needs which are effective in promoting independence, and meeting individuals desired outcomes and aspirations.
You must have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels considering the variety of complex, and sensitive situations that occur both internal and external to the organisation. You must have the ability to prioritise your workload and work without constant supervision, and in addition, work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
The contracted hours of the post are 37 hours per week; Working pattern is Monday to Friday 09:00-16:54 (includes 30-minute unpaid break). Flexibility with shift times will be required on occasion to meet the needs of the service.
You must have the ability to be mobile across the Council area.
If you are the successful candidate for the role of Social Care Officer, you will be working with children and/or vulnerable adults which is considered Regulated Work under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007; therefore, you must have PVG membership or undergo a PVG scheme update.
The post will require periods of lone working.
