Support for Learning Assistant (Core)

Falkirk Council is seeking to recruit a Support for Learning Assistant at core level for California Primary School. The postholder will be required to undertake a range of whole school support activities with regard to the general supervision, safety, care and wellbeing of pupils and particularly within the dining room, outside areas, lavatories and on education excursions as required.

Within the school, the postholder will seek overall direction and will carry out tasks determined and assigned by the designated teacher. Postholders would be required to fulfil the majority of the criteria described under Core descriptions, but not expected to undertake all tasks under this heading.

The post will commence from Tuesday 5^th January 2027.

You will work 13.75 hours per week on a term time basis. Hours will be worked Monday-Friday 10.30am-1.15pm.

This post is temporary until April 2027 due to service requirement.

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership, the cost of which will be met by the preferred candidate.
