Job Advert
Based in Democratic Services located at the Foundry, Larbert, you will lead the Committee team to provide a range of professional committee services for the Council’s main decision making bodies – including the Council, Executive, Scrutiny Committee and regulatory committees including the Planning Committee – and other bodies including the Licensing Board and Central Scotland Valuation Joint Board.
You will deputise for the Democratic Services Manager and provide advice and guidance to elected members and senior officers within the Council and partner organisations.
You should possess a relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification. You will have knowledge of working on corporate projects at a senior level and an awareness of issues affecting Local Government. Knowledge of current trends, legislation and decision-making in local government organisations are essential. The post holder will be required to attend evening meetings on occasion.
