Job Description

Role – Business Support Officer (Business Administration)
Location – GCHSCP, Commonwealth House, 32 Albion Street, Glasgow, G1 1LH
Contract Status – Permanent

Business Administration within Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP) provides support to both internal and external customers. We cover a wide range of services with GCHSCP including Public Protection committees, Welfare Rights, Addiction Services and Power of Attorney. We are also involved in procurement of assets and equipment on behalf of the full GCHSCP. 

This is a key post within GCHSCP working within the Business Administration team. This role requires you to have excellent skills in communication, organisation, minute taking and be proficient in all aspects of IT (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).  You should be highly confident and motivated and must be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team and be able to deal with difficult situations.  

The successful applicant will manage, support and develop the administrative and clerical support functions to citywide services within GCHSCP Business Administration Services. They will supervise a team of clerical and administrative staff to support operational delivery, allocate and review the work of the admin team and manage attendance and performance of the team. They will be required to assist the Resource Manager and Business Administration Manager in establishing and implementing business processes, systems and structures to support the key functions within the team.  Applicants should have previous supervisory experience, the relevant knowledge and administrative experience to fulfil this role, possess good communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and organisational skills. Experience in minute taking and knowledge of Adult & Child Protection is also essential.

These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).

Interviews are expected to take place week commencing 7 April 2025.
