Job Description
A number of opportunities have arisen for the position of Transport and People Support Worker within the Transport and Support Services.
Reporting to the Assistant Area Operations Manager, you will be responsible for collecting and transporting vulnerable service users to various locations both within and outwith Glasgow boundaries and also within allocated timescales.
You will promote a professional image and be reactive and responsive to journey requests.
You must be able to demonstrate a high level of confidentiality at all times and deal with emergency situations using your initiative. In addition, you will have the ability to work alone as well as part of a team and you must display a flexible approach to meet the needs of the business.
It is essential that applicants possess a full current UK driving licence.
This position is subject to membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
These posts are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
Shift patterns available
Term Time(43.6 weeks):
Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 9.30am & 2.30pm – 5.00pm
Monday to Friday, 2.30pm – 6.30pm
52 weeks:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 9.30am & 2.30pm – 5.00pm
Salary Scale excluding non core payments - £13,120.09 - £13,996.69 (working 52 weeks annually)
£9,561.49 - £10,200.33 (working Term Time, 38 weeks annually)
Working Context and Demand (Payment amount)
--- non-teaching staff only - £393.71 (working 52 weeks annually)
£224.41(working Term Time, 38 weeks annually)
Please note some posts will receive an additional non-core payment (NSWP) for working split duty of approximately £410.40 - £720.00 per annum.
