Job Description

Glasgow Life is looking for a Finance Administrative Assistant to join us on a full time, 3-year fixed term contract until October 2027. As an administrative assistant you will be joining our finance team to support the delivery of several in-demand projects that the Finance team will lead.
• ERP Project – Implementation of new finance/payroll system
• PCI Compliance
• Pay and Grading
• Retail system upgrade
• Implementation of IFRS16 Accounting Standard
• Revision of Group VAT return following entry into Museums VAT Refund Scheme

You will be part of a dedicated team which supports Corporate Services within Glasgow Life.

As a finance officer, you will be joining Corporate Services. This includes Marketing and Communications, Business Support, Infrastructure and Finance. HR, Retail and Procurement and Development are also part of this. These teams undertake a wide range of roles to keep Glasgow Life operating smoothly as a first-rate charity. From creating compelling messages about the work, we do to providing insights which help shape strategies. They also oversee the operation of over 100 venues across the city, account for millions of pounds, support our staff, and bring income into the charity through our shops.

The role
The Admin Assistant role is a key member of Glasgow Life’s Finance team. The role provides project co-ordination and administration across our Financial Planning and Financial Operations team and working to deliver a flexible service across all areas of Glasgow Life Finance.

The candidate
If you’re interested in joining us as an Administrative Assistant, you will need:
• Experience of preparing financial and administrative transactions
• Competent in maintaining spreadsheets and project plans.
• Attention to detail, together with excellent customer service and organisational skills.
• Ability to work flexibly to meet tight deadlines and deal with conflicting priorities.
