Are you an experienced leader with a strong background in strategic asset management? Do you want to make a tangible impact in the public sector? Glasgow City Council is seeking a visionary Head of Property Asset Management to lead the effective management and optimisation of our diverse property portfolio.
About the Role
As the Head of Property Asset Management, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering our Property & Land Asset Strategy, ensuring that our land and property assets are effectively aligned with the Council’s priorities, financial sustainability goals, net zero ambitions and community needs.
This senior leadership role involves working closely with internal departments, elected members, partners, and the community to ensure our assets deliver maximum value, support regeneration, and contribute to improved outcomes for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Council’s Property Asset Management Strategy
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team covering property management, estates, and facilities
- Drive asset rationalisation, acquisitions, disposals, and redevelopment opportunities
- Ensure full compliance with relevant legislation, health and safety, and best practice
- Provide strategic advice to senior officers and Members
- Oversee maintenance planning, and lifecycle management
- Promote sustainability and carbon reduction within the property portfolio
About You
